Pharmacies, emergencies and ambulances: practical information
· Author: Grand Emlak
In a new city, what you need most is knowing whom to call in an emergency; this guide compiles official sources only for Antalya.
112: emergency health services
Pre-hospital emergency care across the country runs through the 112 system planned by the Ministry of Health's General Directorate of Emergency Health Services. The directorate sets the standards for land, air and sea ambulances, inspects public and private ambulance services or has them inspected by provincial health directorates, and manages the nationwide Emergency Health Services Coordination Commission (ASKOM). The same site publishes the air ambulance request form and the procedures for patient transfers within Türkiye and from abroad. In Antalya the service is run by the Antalya Provincial Health Directorate, one of whose six main divisions is emergency health services; its website lists contact details for the district health directorates and links to health systems such as HSYS. If you do not speak Turkish: the 24/7 support line
The HealthTürkiye portal, run by USHAŞ under the Ministry of Health, gives +90 850 288 38 38 as a support line available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; the portal is described as the official gateway for international patients. The regulation of 26 April 2025 requires health facilities admitting international patients to set up an international patient unit with foreign-language staff, and Antalya City Hospital states that it runs a dedicated call centre for international patients. Appointments: MHRS and ALO 182
Outpatient appointments at state hospitals are booked through the Central Physician Appointment System (MHRS), operated by the Ministry of Health since 2010. Appointments are available through four channels: mhrs.gov.tr, the MHRS mobile app, the ALO 182 call centre and e-Devlet login. The system sends SMS and voice reminders one day before the appointment, and priority booking applies to people over 65, cancer patients, pregnant women and people with disabilities. e-Nabız: your test results and records
e-Nabız is the Ministry of Health's free personal health record system: test results, consultation history and appointments are visible in one place; login is via e-Devlet, electronic signature or a temporary password from your family physician. The app runs on iOS, Android and Huawei, supports English, German, Arabic, French and Russian, and its contact centre is 0850 240 03 03. The Ministry states that health information can be viewed only by the person and the physicians they approve. Source: e-Nabız, accessed 08.10.2026
184 SABİM: requests, suggestions and complaints

Insurance and fees
If you hold a private policy, find out in advance which hospitals are contracted; Antalya's large private hospitals state on their websites that they have agreements with more than 200 domestic and foreign insurers. According to the Migration Authority's residence permit document list, an SGK provision document or a private health insurance policy counts as valid insurance; for coverage details see the health insurance article in our Living in Antalya series. Numbers and procedures may change; call 112 in an emergency and verify other details on official websites.
