Transfer and handover — An independent local lawyer should check title and contract before signing.
Frequently asked questions
How many homes can a foreigner buy?
Under the 2024 amendment a foreign national may acquire one residence (Turkish citizens three). Excess properties must be sold within a set period.
What do the title deed types mean?
Turkish title: pre-1974 Turkish-Cypriot property; equivalent title: granted in exchange for property left in the south; allocation title: state allocated. We state the type and recommend a lawyer’s check.
Can I get residence by buying property?
We have not yet verified the current conditions for property-based residence from an official source, so we give no threshold. Our advisor will confirm current conditions in writing.
For information only, not legal advice; rules can change — confirm with a local lawyer and our advisor before any transaction.
